We, Freimans Timber Constructions, are a socially responsible company and we are interested in providing support to those athletes who are able to represent the company’s core values and bring our name to the world.
For the second year, Freimans Timber Constructions has been actively supporting BMX RIGA, the largest BMX sports club in the Baltics, to develop cycling in Latvia and provide children and young people with the opportunity to practice cycling under the guidance of professional trainers. Today, the sports club brings together nearly 100 athletes and has proven itself as champions for almost 10 years.
We are also proud to announce that company-sponsored BMX team Stay Strong Latvia under the leadership of Janis Lapsiņš in the 2019 UEC European Cup season convincingly took 1st place and won the European Cup by more than 590 points. This UEC European Cup season, BMX biking included ten stages over five weekends on various European tracks – Italy, Belgium, Norway and France.
The team showed outstanding results in the individual disciplines where Edgars Langmanis triumphed in the B13, his teammate Mikus Freimanis finished third in the B14 and Viesturs Morozs finished second in the M25 + amateur overall. Meanwhile, Ansis Uškaurs was fourth best in the M17/24 amateur group.
Back on his feet
This is the third year that Freimans Timber Constructions has sponsored local powerhouse Māris Rozentāls, who has long proven himself as a master of his craft, practicing weightlifting for nearly 20 years and delivering great results in world-class competitions.
Māris is a two-time World Championships 3rd place winner in the weight class up to 105 kg and holds five world records in individual disciplines. Māris is also the only strongman in the world who has participated in all U105 World Cup competitions since its inception in 2004 and continues to do so.In addition, Māris is not only a strongman, but also the owner, professional trainer and competition judge of the Kuldiga Sports Club Rozental Team.
Despite his injury at the end of 2018, Māris managed to win the 3rd place in the World Championship Ultimate Strongman U105 with a lift of 370 kg this year. For this achievement, Māris would like to thank Freimans Timber Constructions for their support and help in recovering from the injury.
We are proud of our athletes and wish you strength, energy, and a relentless desire to continue to reach new heights!
Your Freimans Timber Constructions Team!
